The confusing array of postal methods & costs...
I had a long and helpful (?) chat with the lady in the post office today about different postal methods, varying prices and how to work them out. It depends on the grams weight of the parcel, the value of the item and the country it's going to.
If it's normal (uninsured) post, Small Packet, UK Special Delivery, Airsure or International Signed For, to find the cost.
I was beginning to think it would be easier if I could deliver them all personally. Think of all those holidays : )
However, back in the real world... costs.
She kindly told me that if I brought in parcels of varying weights, she would work out a pricing scale for me to put on my website to help you and me when working out what postal cost to add to your order.
As soon as I've done that, I'll put the information on here which you and I will hopefully find helpful.
Still finding it frustrating to work out..it keeps changing...
It's working something like this... at the moment...
UK Special Delivery Insured and express next day delivery 1 character =£7.50 2 characters =£9.00 Normal Postage (not insured) 1 character =£4.00 2 characters =£5.00 Can add £1.00 for recorded signed for (not tracked) |
Overseas Airmail Insured, (approximate cost as countries vary in price) 1 character =£12.00 2 characters =£14.00 due to weight of packages Uninsured airmail (no insurance or tracking) 1 character =£4.00 |
